National Express - where is the Elephant and Castle stop (travelling AWAY from Victoria)

Last week I went to from London to Canterbury and was surprised to find the outbound coach stopped at the Elephant (National Express don't really advertise this, do they?)
Next week I need to do the same thing, and it's a lot more convenient for me to board the coach there. I was so stunned when we stopped on the way out that I didn't note where the stop is, and the NE site is supremely unhelpful. I have found this map

But if you follow that map, you would be on a side street - and I KNOW the stop wasn't on a side street. The little yellow dot indicates the approximate position of the stop when you come back into London, but should of course be on the other side of the road. In fact I *think* the stop was on London Road.
Does anyone use NE from the Elephant and actually know where the stop is? Thanks if you have read this far and many, many thanks if you actually know the answer and post it here!

According to National Express Route 022, London to Ramsgate — National Express Timetables it's at New Kent Road, Stop K. Google maps shows it as immediately to the west of the railway bridge.

That is the most BRILLIANT answer, thank you so much! I love that both your links are just soooo informative (so the info actually IS on the NE website if you know where to look, thank you) - and I can also see National Express written on your lovely Google link if I make it big enough. Thanks again - I can't tell you now much fretting that is saving me!!!!
