Morning everyone
Dull and drizzly here but the forecast is for it to to improve later.
Thank you all again for thinking of us. DD said when little one woke up after the anaesthetic she was in a lot of pain - both her head and her back from the lumbar puncture. They're trying to cut down on the amount of morphine she's been having.
I didn't watch much of the opening ceremony, but have watched the highlights this morning - I know it's meant to be summer but it seemed daft to have it all outside.
I'm going to get on and clean upstairs this morning. Hope everyone has a good day x10 -
Hi all
Thanks for all the good wishes for Mrs M. No news as they say is good news. They don't seem to know what is wrong at the moment other than a poor kidney function and very high calcium levels in her bloods. Lots have things have been 'mightbes' but nothing positive. They can't do a scan yet because the kidneys may be affected by the trace dye and they don't want to take that risk! The renal unit for S Wales is now involved and advising. Another theory relates to the parathyroid, but quite obviously they are going through a list and knocking things off one by one. She is still on a drip and heart monitor and looks ill. She was a little brighter when I saw her yesterday afternoon, but by evening had relapsed. She is in the best place and the staff have been marvellous. I had a good 20 mins with the consultant yesterday who tried to explain where they were and what they are doing
I feel like a hamster on a treadmill though as its a good 40 minutes drive each way at worst (traffic etc) and then I have to come back to see to the animals before returning .
I have put off DS and Toxic from coming over at the moment- there seems little point currently. I speak to them several times a day and they know as much as me.
Time to get tarted up for my daily boil in the ward. Hugs and spoons as always
Nearly forgot - great news for DP1.

Just popping in to say little one is much the same though DD did take her outside for 5 minutes in a wheelchair to get some air. Bless her she can hardly walk, just a few little shuffles then she was worn out...it's going to take a while before she's better.
DD says I'm still to go on holiday next week - I'm meant to be going to Germany on Thursday to stay with eldest DD, but I don't know what to do. I've said I'll decide on Wednesday, see what the doctor says after the weekend, but she will have to be improving for me to go.
Back tomorrow x7
