Credit from ovo
Ovo has said because the last four digits on the debit card do not match their info regarding the account that I pay my dd from they cannot transfer my credit back to me ? They say I have to download a trans union app onto my phone ? Has anyone else had to do this ? Is it the only way ?

DD's are from bank accounts, not debit cards aren't they. Just one of the reasons this sound like a scam to me.0

From the description you’ve provided, that is 100% a scam. Do not continue to engage with them and if you have already given your debit card details you should report this to your bank immediately.
No genuine energy company will ask you to download an app process your refund. If you are due a refund this will typically be sent by return DD or potentially a bank transfer (debit card not required for either). It may also be posted to you by cheque instead, but however the refund is issued it would be via a standard banking transaction and certainly not a 3rd party app of any sort.Moo…0 -
