Hi again @Coupon-mad.
I just wanted to update you that I have now sent the email to info@dcblegal.co.uk, with the suggested edits.
I will let you know how they respond. Thank you again for all of your fantastic support and assistance. We greatly appreciate it.

Hi again @Coupon-mad I hope you are well.
Sorry to bother you but we wondered, now that DCB Legal have been sent the discussed email. If they don't respond to the email by Monday 13th, (the deadline we gave them), what are our next steps? We've just received another letter asking for the outstanding CCJ, £295.08, to be paid. We said in the email that we would report them to the SRA and DVLA etc. How do we go about doing this if it comes to it. Any advice would be great. Thank you as always. John0 -
We have found they seem to (deliberately?) respond to these a few days late. So wait another week and read up on any threads you find when you search the forum for

Good morning @Coupon-mad . Just a quick question. Sorry to bother you.
So I've still heard absolutely nothing from DCB legal other than the automate is email acknowledging that they'd received my initial email.
We are now 8 days over the deadline that we originally given them. In your experience, what would be the next step that we need to take? Do we contact them again or do we need to go a different route from this point forward?
I am extremely anxious at the moment, especially as the letters they now keep sending. Do say that they will escalate things to bailiffs and I'm very concerned about this being true. Could you advise me on this? The current outstanding according to them is £ 295.
As always we are extremely grateful for any advice you could give. Thank you as alway.0 -
For bailiffs the starter figure is £600 or more, via the High Court with a writ, yours is less than half that
You may need to read up on the contested set aside route, post 2 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements2 -
I was thousands of miles away on holiday. Just copy another CCJ set aside thread.jdub1206 said:Good morning @Coupon-mad . Just a quick question. Sorry to bother you.

Dead easy as long as you don't read an old one. only read a CCJ set aside thread or two from Summer/Autumn 2025.
Your CCJ will be set aside but you also want all your costs and the claim dismissed.
You are relying on VCS v Carr and also Mazur.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi @Coupon-mad. Thank you for your reply. I hope you had a wonderful holiday.
Thank you for the advice. That's perfect. I will take a look.
However, just today, I finally received an email correspondence back from DCB Legal. I will paste the reply below. Could you advise on whether I should respond to this email with my details? I'm wondering if they are responding to my request to work with them to put together the documents required etc. Thank you, as always for your advice.
Kind regards, John.

They are correctly asking you to prove that YOU are the correct person before they deal with you3

Hi. Thank you. That's really helpful. I replied with my info a week ago. Still not heard anything back from them. I'm concerned that If I let it drag on too much further it isn't going to look good in court. It's been a tough few weeks also due to bereavement so hopefully that'll be taken into consideration. Should I chase DBCL or just go ahead with the set aside without them? Thank you for the advice everyone.Gr1pr said:They are correctly asking you to prove that YOU are the correct person before they deal with you0 -
