Hi. Thank you for the guidence. I really appreciate it.
Yes, I sent the same email to both ECP and DCP. The email to them seems to have made them "escalate" us to debt collection.
I will follow your guidance above and email ECP.
Then if they refuse to reissue the PCN and pause debt recovery, report them to the BPA and remind the BPA that the new 'joint code' published in June by the BPA & IPC says operators have to consider as 'exceptional', cases where the person had updated the DVLA and were merely awaiting a replacement V5c. You did nothing wrong.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi. Thank you for the advice as always. I've now received an email from ECP stating the following:"Good day,
Please note that we are unable to accept your correspondence as this parking charge notice has now been passed to a debt collection agency.
Please contact Debt Recovery directly with regards to payment on 0208 234 6775.
All/any communication must now be with Debt Recovery Plus.
Regards
Customer Services"
I messaged them as discussed and tried to upload evidence, but their online system kept crashing so I asked if I could email the evidence and they have responded with the above. I'm going to email DCP with the same message that I sent to ECP. Why I can't communicate directly with ECP now, is a bit of a mystery!

Do not contact DRP LTD, never contact the debt collectors, they are powerless and cannot resolve it
Did you use the ECP complaint link. ?
https://www.eurocarparks.com/enquiry/
If not, that is where your complaint should go ( they also have a mailing address for complaints, the link is on the BPA AOS members list on the right. )
If you did use it, complain online to the BPA AOS compliance team on the BPA website

So they have ignored your complaint of breach of Clause 23 (or whatever it is) of the BPA Code of Practice, saying they can't "pause debt recovery" because the case is with debt recovery!
Hohoho.
Now report them like I said. Obviously!

Hi @Coupon-mad.
Really sorry to bother you but I just wanted to update where we've got to. We have now complained to the BPA via their website form and uploaded lots of evidence. Screenshots, photographs, etc. We did this around a week ago. We are still waiting to hear from them. However, we have now received another letter from DRP saying we have 7 days to pay all they will take us to court.
A piece of information I forgot to mention is that sadly, (naively perhaps?), I did contact them via telephone at the beginning of all this to state our case. It would seem that they have recorded this as a refusal to pay. Would this affect our case do you think?
Really sorry to bother everyone on this. We are just starting to panic a little now. Apologies also if any of this is covered elsewhere on the forum. (Life is a little crazy right now 😕).
Thank you for the advice as always. We really appreciate it.

You don't need to show use drp letters
Please stop posting them2 -
Ignore drpl letters, debt collectors are powerless, no need to worry about them at all
Chill pills, file their pointless useless letters away, stop reading letters from DRP LTD1 -
In the interests of improving the information given out, please do tell me which bit of my post on your thread on 2 August at 12:42PM needs clarification.1

@KeithP Hi. No clarification needed. I guess I'm worried as we did initially call DRP which having read much of the advice I'm aware was not a good idea. I'd like to apologise for being a nuisance by posting about this again. We have a lot of stress currently, (buying a house for the 1st time, very poorly family member etc.), so was just looking for a bit of reassurance. Apologies again. I'll try not to panic over DRP letters in future. Just could do without the added stress of court threats etc.. thank you all for your advice and understanding 😊👍0
