Joint bank account for graduates

My boyfriend and I want to set up a joint bank account that we can use alongisde our own current accounts for any joint expenditures that we may have. We're both postgraduates and our courses finish in September 2008. We don't have any real income to speak of, so we're just looking for something easy to use, ideally with internet banking. Thanks!

most banks will allow a joint a/c to be set up... its probably easiest to try one which one of you is already using.
but be warned... a joint a/c implies joint liability for any overdraft .. if one refuses to pay the other will be held responsible.
also you will set up a financial link between you both... so if one has a bad credit record then it will affect both of you.
although very unromantic it best to be realistic .. what happens if you decide to separate with a joint debt?

Banks like graduates to have an income before giving away free overdrafts and low interest loans.
You're a bit early as you don't graduate until the end of 2008.
Make the most of free student overdrafts until then.
I would also suggest separate accounts for you.
One joint account gives you say £2k free interest o/d in first year - sole accounts means you get £2k each.0
