Last year my son insured his motorbike and added his Dad as a named driver. His Dad had an accident in April 21 which my son declared. He’s renewing his policy with the same company but not adding his Dad and they’ve told him he has to declare his Dad’s accident if he wants to keep his no claims bonus as it was earned by having his dad on the policy. This doesn’t sound right to me?!

I cannot see that as being correct.

If it was on the son's bike/policy then yes it has to be declared as he is the policyholder so the claim was on his policy. If it was on a random other vehicle the Dad has access to and claimed off of the dad's own policy then no it wouldn't need to be declared against the sons name if the dad is removed.0
