Morning folks and thanks MEHEFIN. Where is everybody this morning? We have a lovely day forecast so I had better get cracking with my jobs as DD and the DGDs say they are coming up this afternoon. I don't know if they plan to stay for tea. If so it will probably be pizzas.
I need to do a quick whizz round with duster and vac first job and then pack some clothes for my caravan jaunt. Then do a freezer dive and get some food organised ready to get out and pack up in the morning. I have a gammon joint cooking as I speak so that we will feed me nicely for my first couple of days. At the moment the forecast for next week is looking promising so I am hoping the forecasters have got it right!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. As always I am thinking of DP1's little DGD and hoping today there is some improvement and the scan goes well. Take care all be safe xx

Good morning all from a gloriously sunny Mehefinland
It's funny how life gets you. This time last month was preparing for my big burpday and the following week our 44th WA. This week Mrs M is seriously ill in our local horsepital and they can not or will not day what they have found wrong with her as yet. Extremely worrying and lots of sleepless nights (both now and to come in the immediate future) . She is supposed to have a 'scan' today providing her bloods are ok. What sort of scan is anyone's guess! I suspect MRI but the nursing staff on the ward last night did not know and probably weren't allowed to tell me even if they did know.
On a happier note, Scooby's lump is reducing and isn't so sore. Liberal applications of Sudocrem seem to help. Seems funny putting nappy cream on a horse, but it works. May need to sort out someone to ride Showman for me. He is getting fat through lack of exercise and too much eating. I can't get on him since my accident driving him , my leg just won't bend enough, not to get on but to get off again. He is not the sort of animal to stand patiently there whilst I faff about. I don't want him becoming a field ornament. I do have someone in mind if it comes to it , but we will have to wait to see what happens with Mrs M.
Sorry to be a gloom maker, just helped to write it down.
Hugs and spoons as always especially DP1 and nan

Morning everyone MEHEFIN I hope you get some good news about Mrs M it’s a worrying time for you both also hoping for some good news from DP1about the little one life seems to be throwing a lot of worries about lately. Is fine and bright here I’m off out to do my volunteering at the food waste soon when I get back my son and his wife are calling in to tell me all about the wedding they were at yesterday they stayed at the venue overnight I got a sneak peak at the bride last night with strict warning not to show anyone the photo until they released them she looked beautiful and they both looked so happy apparently they were both nervous wrecks and my son was best man and he was happy his speech went down well they seem to put a lot of pressure on themselves with weddings now but a good day was had by all . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning All
A day of sunshine and showers today I think, thankfully I got the washing dried outside yesterday. My digging may have to be between the showers today. I also have neighbour's dog to walk later.
The little one and I went to the park yesterday for an hour, we called at the wool shop on the way home and chose some wool for another cardigan, suppose I had better start that soon before she grows again! Whilst shopping I got her a couple of school cardigans and some sand shoes so she's nearly sorted for starting in August.
I really hope the little one makes some progress today dp1 and the scan goes ahead.
Sorry to hear Mrs M is poorly Mehefin, hoping to hear good news soon.
Have a good trip to the caravan TA, fingers crossed the weather stays fine for you.
I took neighbour's DD out for dinner last night which was very nice - she watered the greenhouse and pots for me whilst I was away. Watched the Sewing Bee final after as I'd missed it on Wednesday night.
Have a good day, take care. XX12 -
Hi everyone,
Mehefin, I'm so sorry about Mrs M, I know you've been worried about her for some time, I hope you get some answers soon.
dp1, the same with your little one, it's so much more worrying not knowing what you are dealing with, your mind comes up with all sorts of things.
We went over to Chris and Crystal's yesterday afternoon, Steve was finishing connecting the internet to the stables and also helping Chris with Nate's bedroom. Steve is an electrical engineer so he's ok doing anything like that, he's also very handy at most DIY tasks, the only thing he won't tackle is gas work and more complicated electrical stuff from a safety point of view. He also won't do cars apart from basic maintenance any more, they are so much more complicated nowadays than when he helped his dad in the garage that he owned, many, many moons ago.
I don't think Nate was quite right yesterday, he wasn't his usual sunny self and when Steve came round a corner and said boo to him he had a complete meltdown. I hope he isn't coming down with something.
The cleaner is coming today, I put her off last week because the house was in chaos and everyone seemed a bit out of sorts (I still paid her because it was such short notice), she won't recognise the house it's so quiet.
I started making a blouse yesterday so I want to try to finish it today, we shall see.
Have a good day.

Morning all - thanks for starting us off @mehefin, no wonder you feel gloomy, life has been a roller coaster for you and your dear wife over the past month. I'm sending you both lots of healing thoughts. Same for @DP1 and her family, it's been such a trying time for you and I hope that your little one is recovering.I've been out already to pick up a couple of things at the local shop. Friday's get busy really quickly as holiday visitors leave, some don't go until Saturday so it's best to get what my little chore done early. Of course, I was caught in a rain shower though the sun is now trying to break through the cloud. Across the sea Jura is in bright sunshine so I hope that it reaches here.Today is the start of the Olympic Games so I'll probably watch the opening ceremony which will either be a fabulous success or dreadful nightmare for the organisers.@TA - enjoy your caravan stay, I hope that the weather brightens up for you.@Camelot - what kind of van has your DD bought? A big transit?Take care everyone.12
