Ryanair now validating passports via app

Some good news for a change. I’m US and every time I fly with Ryanair I have to present myself to either their kiosk or checkin desk to have my passport validated, in both directions. This is quite annoying as I have to printout a boarding card so can’t use the app, and even travelling hand luggage only still have to join the line of people checking in bags
But not anymore, they have introduced validating your passport on the app. As long as you have a biometric passport you hold it against the app, and hey presto, passport validated and boarding card issued.

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
