Contribution Esa and moving to UC

Hi, my husband is on CB Esa, we also get HB and CTC/WTC. I'm expecting the planned migration to UC at some point. I understand the HB/CTC/WTC will move over to UC. What happens to the Esa? Does that move onto new style Esa or stay as CB based?

That will change to New Style ESA and be deducted in full from UC award.
If the amounts look wrong, it's because ESA is a weekly benefit and UC is monthly.
So you'll see 30 days ESA deducted, not 4x the weekly amount.0 -
But he would still get his esa fortnightly?0

If he is in the support group of ESA then he should also get the LCWRA element included as part of your UC claim.1

Yes and it is definitely worth keeping alongside U/C even if not financially better off as circumstances can change (like getting inheritance) and it is not means tested .. as minimum it will give a better spread of income in a month.Marsha2007 said:But he would still get his esa fortnightly?"Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0
