Looks like it's a St James's Place FA. Around here you will be told to find an IFA instead of a FA.1
-
1. Independent Financial Adviser (IFA): You expect them to act as your agent. They can advise on the whole of the market
2. Financial Adviser(FA): They are agents of the company.
They can only advise and deal with the the products their company are connected to. One way of thinking of them is financial sales persons.
3. Frederick Charles Wealth Management Ltd are FA's : Do not expect them to come cheap.

Another question re Wealth Management Companies.. Would it be wise/safe to transfer pension funds currently with Aviva to a Wealth Management company?0
-
They're not really comparable - the wealth management company wouldn't hold the funds as such but would invest them elsewhere, while also providing advisory services, so it wouldn't be straightforward to make a like-for-like comparison. Ultimately you'd need to satisfy yourself that the suitability of the new approach is a better fit for your requirements, while also ensuring that the revised risks and likely returns outweigh the additional costs....Mizza said:Another question re Wealth Management Companies.. What do you mean by wealth management company?Mizza said:Another question re Wealth Management Companies.. Would it be wise/safe to transfer pension funds currently with Aviva to a Wealth Management company?
Wealth management companies are not an official classification. The term is a tagline sometimes used by IFAs, FAs and DFMs.
You could use an IFA with a tagline including Wealth Management who could put the pension with Aviva platform using a DFM that has the tagline including Wealth Management.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
