BMW Emissions

I took a phone call this morning from someone wanting detail on my BMW purchases, about the emissions claim.
He had my name, phone number (obviously) and possible approx dates I'd bought a BMW - which were reasonably accurate.
He sounded a bit intrusive so I declined to participate.
I'm now worried that it may have been a reasonable call, given the state of the deadlines.
I returned the call, only to hear a recorded message that Phoenix Legal had called me about my emissions claim. No opportunity to speak to anyone. I've tried calling several law firms called "Phoenix" to no avail. No trace when I search for their number.
Anyone any experience of such calls or this firm?
TIA

There is no evidence anyone but VW used emissions cheat devices and they were for the US market.
Nobody in the UK was miss-sold a diesel on the basis of NOx emissions which are barely even mentioned in UK sales, let alone a reason for buying a car unlike CO2 (for VED) and MPGSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
