for some reason lately when having a few tabs open on my macbook, I sometimes mange to drag one down from the top which makes it a separate tab from all the rest, is there anyway to put it back with all the other tabs?

Assuming Safari (but probably other browsers too), yes, you drag it back to the original tab bar.
You can also change the order tabs are displayed by dragging too.0 -
Its not just Safari that works this way, if you pull a tab off the bar it becomes a new window, if you take the tab out the new window and put it back on the original bar it goes back to one window.0

Right-click on the new window's tab, should be an option to move the tab to another window, chose the original window.paulsm said:

You can't drag it back in Safari in the same way you can in Chrome. I can't see a way to solve this 'problem' aside from not creating multiple Safari windows.paulsm said:

Open another tab in the newly opened window, and you can drag the original tab back. Bit hacky though, as it now leaves that new tab still open.RobfromCornwall said:
