My mother passed away and we discovered a leak that had ruined lounge carpet. there was no problem with that being replaced by LV but it has been fitted badly join in centre and does not go up to skirtings. I had independent carpet person from checker trade view and took pictures and comments were that it was badly fitted and join in incorrect place. If they had order a wider carpet join would not show as much and needed lees carpet.
it needs replacing .
what are my rights as getting no where. Currently having provided report and pictures.
Any help would be appreciated

You say 'replaced by LV' so I assume the insurer contracted with a carpet supplier to supply and fit rather than giving you a sum of money?
If so, did LV send an assessor after fitting to confirm the carpet fitting was acceptable?
After fitting, did LV ask you to confirm that the job had been completed?
I'm puzzled, you say there was no problem with the carpet being replaced by LV then go on to list some problems. Can you give a bit more detail about what actually happened?

I'm assuming the OP means there was no difficulty in getting LV to agree to replacing the carpet.
