TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “KISS FM x Costa Coffee x Uplift your summer (the “Competition”).

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

· There will be five (5) winners of the Competition.

As part of the first section of the mechanic, the competition will feature 4 winners, one selected per day from Monday to Thursday. Entries will be judged based on submissions made on the competition page explaining why their office deserves a special Costa delivery. Valid entries received from Wednesday, July 24th at 00:01, to Friday, July 26th 11:59, will be pooled and winners selected between Friday, July 26th between 12:01PM, and Wednesday, July 31st 11:59PM.

Each winner on:

• Monday 29th July
• Tuesday 30th July
• Wednesday 31st July
• Thursday 1st July

will be asked to come to air and be asked to explain their entry. Entrants must be available between 7AM - 11AM. Successful winners will be given a briefing prior to going on air with the KISS Breakfast team.

Entrants are not permitted to alter their online submission based on what they say on air; only the original online entry will be accepted and evaluated.

On Friday 2nd of August, the competition will feature a different mechanic where the best entry of the week will receive an additional prize consisting of a holiday and a Costa bundle (further information provided in sections 5. ‘The Prize’). The one (1) winner of the Friday main prize must be available to receive the prizes from the KISS team, who will visit the winners workplace to present them with their awards on Thursday 1st August. Therefore the winner must consent to the KISS team coming to their office and provide the address of their workplace in their entry submission.

The presentation will be broadcast on air on Friday and recorded for KISS' on-air and social media activities. Entrants must be willing to be recorded and come to air for this.

The opportunity to win this prize ends on Wednesday 31st July at 00:59 AM. .

Listeners must pre-register at https://planetradio.co.uk/kiss/competitions/ for their chance to win. There will be 5 winners of the competition who will be in with a chance to win the prizes available during the competition.



Once online they will be asked to give a compelling reason as to why them their office deserve to win a Costa Coffee prize (see prize outline in Section 5. The Prize). If selected, they will need to be available during the competition phases below.



Pre-registration for this competition is open from Wednesday 24th July 2024 00:01 and closes Wednesday 31st July 2024 9:00am.



Entries will be judged on how entertaining, compelling, heart-warming and how deserving the entry is. All entries will be judged by the KISS Breakfast Production Team, the production manager and an independent judge.



We will be shortlisting from the open of the competition on the 24/07/2024 at 00.01 until the close of the competition online entry period on 31/07/2024 at 16:00. On shortlisting, we will require the nominators to coherently explain their entry and discuss their nomination. The entry must be compelling and match the entry that was entered online.



All nominators will be called ahead the competition segment being recorded. If the chosen winners are unavailable during their competition record date, a backup winner will be chosen in their place and the original winner may miss out on winning



Phase 1 



There will be 4 winners during Phase 1 who will win the prize outlined in Section 5. The Prize.



An entry per day will be selected through the judging process as detailed above and bought to-air to speak to the KISS Radio Breakfast Presenters who will award the prize.

• The 1st Phase 1 winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 26/07/2024
• The 2nd Phase 1 winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 29/07/2024
• The 3rd Phase 1 winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 30/07/2024
• The 4th Phase 1 winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 31/07/2024

Phase 2 



There will be 1 winner during Phase 2 who will win the prize outlined in Section 5. The Prize.

• The Phase 2 winner will be selected at 16:00 on 31/07/2024

To be eligible to win this prize the winner and their workplace must be available to be visited by the KISS FM UK production team on 01/02/2024 between 8am – 13pm (exact times to be confirmed).



By entering the winner must have permission from their workplace that they can be visited by a KISS FM UK production team. The winner must consent to being filmed and recorded for on-air during the prize handover.

The presentation of the prize will be broadcast on air on 02/09/2024 and recorded for KISS' on-air and social media activities.

The KISS Breakfast Production Team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast.



Entering online does not guarantee you will be invited to play the game or win the prize.

3. DATES

Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:

From Wednesday 24th July at 00:01 (the “Start Time”) to Wednesday 31st July at 16:00 (“End Time”).

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.

• Winner Announcement: The winner’s first name and hometown are available on request by emailing win@bauermedia.co.uk

• If an entrant is successfully deemed a winner, the team will be in touch with them within 28 working days to arrange delivery of the prize. However if the winner cannot be contacted within 28 days from the date of the initial attempt to contact them/the on-air draw, then we will re-draw until we draw a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

Open to UK residents aged [18] years or over on date of entry.

Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, will not be eligible to take part in this competition nor will anyone else at their address. If by any chance they get through to the phone lines – any prize they have been successful with will not be awarded. Once the winner has passed the winners checks, the winner’s name, phone number, email and address will be cross checked against the Bauer Winner database and once winner passes the criteria, the prize will be sent.

· Once confirmed, any changes including but not limited to name changes, date changes and route changes will be at the prize winner’s expense. Further Terms & Conditions for the Holiday Prize :

· Prize Packages for two (2) people are for two (2) adults, all of whom must travel at the same time with the same itinerary;

· Economy flights from major UK international airports only (inclusive of all applicable airport taxes, fees, and duties); Flights may be indirect and not all routings will be available; Flight itinerary will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion;

· Travel arrangements, including costs relating to public transport, fuel or parking, to and from the winner or companion/s’ home and UK departure airport do not form part of the prize and are the responsibility of the winner and their travelling companion/s;

· At least one person travelling must be over the age of 18, where any travellers are aged under 18, they must have prior parental or guardian permission;

· Accommodation is based on two (2) adults sharing one (1) double occupancy room in Crete; Accommodation will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion;

· A valid credit or debit card for incidentals may be required to guarantee your room on check in and therefore at least one of the travellers must possess and travel with a valid credit or debit card;

· The prize excludes domestic ground transfers, meals and drinks, hotel incidentals, excursions, attractions, treatments, visas, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the prize package;

· All elements of the prize are subject to availability; if unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and equal monetary value may be offered at the prize provider’s discretion;

· Travel insurance is subject to restrictions and the terms and conditions of the insurance provider. Travel insurance provided is a basic single trip policy and it is the responsibility of the winner and/or their companions to meet any additional costs relating to obtaining insurance cover for any pre-existing medical conditions and for any additional costs as may be specified where the winner and/or their companions are aged 70 or over; Levels of coverage will vary and it is the winner and guest’s responsibility to ensure that the level of coverage offered is sufficient for their circumstances;

· Winners must contact prize provider with three preferred travel dates in three separate months no later than six weeks prior to departure;

You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

3. MISCELLANEOUS.

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements.
