Hi all, recommendations for PMI providers please, I have unexplained weight loss which the NHS have investigated but reluctant to carry out expensive tests, anway I want them done sooner rather than later, TIA

You can’t insure against symptoms which you already have, if that’s what you’re thinking.1

You can pay for the tests you want out of your own pocket by going private, but the insurance won't cover this, since you've already had investigations.2

Some corporate schemes do cover all pre-existing conditions without any medical underwriting so the only hope you'd have of having insurance pay would be to check with your employer about what scheme, if any, they offer to someone at your seniority in the organisation.
In the absence of PMI your choice is NHS or pay privately0
