Can someone dispose of my belongings if I moved out? Advice please.

Renting a van isn't cheap, but the owners' son has implied that he has a way of moving the stuff.  Maybe everyone would benefit if he brought it somewhere of your choice rather than the tip?

What's the stuff?  Furniture? Clothes? Expensive hi-fi gear?  15 years of back issues of Pigeon Fancier Monthly? You say you need others to help - so is it a lot of stuff or things you can't carry alone?

You might need to decide which costs more - getting it and finding somewhere to store it (I'm guessing you don't have space where you currently are) or abandoning it and replacing at a later stage.

Yes, that's a good point. If he really does have the means to move it, then ask if he'll help you move it to a place of your choice. 

It's often inertia on all sides, which leaves ongoing storage issues as issues!
