    In my opinion no, there are plenty of things, eg pension letters, long term insurance statements, that are only annual and so you can easily forget to not update one and not receive any redirected post because the annual cycle means the next one is sent after your redirection has ended. 

    As redirection isn't perfect and I'm naturally a bit risk adverse I personally always do a 2 year redirection. We still were receiving the occasional thing via the redirection in the last few months - though most was stuff which we weren't bothered to retain. It did catch a second statement on our PHI cover as though we'd told the insurer to update the address they hadn't and this was identified when the 2nd year statement was sent to the old address and redirected
