Hi,

Just looking for some guidance on the application process for cards at Natwest, done the soft search and been told I can be offered all cards. Anyone know what their application process is like, time taken, documents required etc? I'm reading some horror stories on trustpilot about the process and subsequent customer service. Just want to know what I'm letting myself in for.

Thanks

Are you already an existing customer? - Current account, Savings mortgage, etc.

I applied for a credit card as an existing customer and the process was easy, account showed in the app a couple days later, and card & pin received within 5 working days.

However one of my friends had issues (wasn't an existing customer) because the address they put was in a different format to their driving licence for the ID check.

Not an existing customer and may have the same issue with address, can provide passport or bank statements instead.

Applied, ID checked and approved and now awaiting the timeframes you've pointed out above, which were also the ones quoted to me. Clearscore rating of the application process was only 58% which feels low but I'll comment more once it is approved and my balance transfers go through.
