House plant advice please

I am looking for a house plant that can grow in a small pot that can go on a plaster shelf on my landing. We are decorating, and have a plaster sculpture on the wall that’s been there a long time but I need something to hide the fact that it’s a bit damaged at the bottom.
So, I am looking for a plant that hangs down and doesn’t need much natural sunlight, as it’s on the landing and there’s no window.
Any ideas please?
Thx.

What about a faux plant? No water or light needed. Water (when you water a live plant) and a plaster shelf might not be a good mix.

Spider plant is quite hardy .depends on the shelf too ,is it easy to get to water it? Would a plant highlight the broken bit? As Emmia says there’s good faux plants try IKEA or B and M bargains for cheap ones.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.2

spider plant - cheap to get, doesn't need much attention and can always move it if you don't like it0

Boston fern? I have two in my bathroom - the window is north facing & obscure, so very low light levels but they are both thriving0

I was also going to suggest a false one. If you check them out, some of them are so good I've known people water them! I bought a friend an artificial orchid from Sainsburys some years ago, with great embarrassment because I could find nothing better, and it still delights us both!Signature removed for peace of mind0

Artificial spider plants are very effective and would hang down a wall beautifully.0

Is there a way you can place a mirror to bring natural light into the landing, this will help the plant photosynthesis.0

OP hasn’t revisited thread since 23rd July. Or hasn’t commented on any suggestions if they have.0

Agree - spider plants are pretty hardy and can cascade in an attractive form.0
