The Star Inn at Harome has an enviable reputation for its fine dining and hospitality.
Renowned across North Yorkshire and further afield, the Michelin-starred 14th century hotel and restaurant near Helmsley is run by the award-winning chef, Andrew Pern.
Andrew has owned The Star Inn since 1996 and, in a career spanning more than 35 years. After attending Scarborough College, he worked in France and at a hotel in Rosedale Abbey before taking on the distinctive thatched pub.
The inn’s chef and director, Stephen Smith, brings his expertise and flair to the kitchens. He was named Yorkshire Life’s Chef of the Year in 2023 and continues to raise the bar when it comes to what people come to expect from an establishment of this nature.
