Pension Credit Delays

Would anyone happen to have any information around delays to Pension Credit applications?
My mother in law applied in early February and has still not received a decision through. On calling in, she has been promised callbacks that have never happened and now money is really getting tight.
How can we go about applying pressure? 5 months for the claim is very over the top.

Oh dear, this problem seems to be getting worse. If you don’t mind I’ll you about my experiences with Pension Credit.
i have a SP and 2 small works pensions which take me over the PC threshold. I applied, and received, Attendance Allowance and was advised by Age U.K. that the AA changed the threshold for getting PC. I applied and hadn’t heard after 6 months so contacted my MP who was brilliant, after he contacted the DWP I heard from them and my application was refused on the grounds that my income was too high, they seemed to have ignore the AA
After a few months gap I was advised to apply again and I put my details into every benefit checker I could find and they all said I was entitled to PC so I reapplied.
After another 6 months I never thought anything about it and having a few health issues and family issues put it out of my mind. I returned from shopping today and found a message on my phone from the DWP saying it was about my Pension Credit application. They said they would ring back. They didn’t leave any contact details.I checked my old emails, I had a message from them saying they had received my PC application. This was dated 8th August 2023, virtually a year ago. I am hoping they were phoning to apologise for the delay
