Waiting 6 months for booking.com refund on cancelled flight

I booked my flight through booking.com. The flight was cancelled. Booking.com said they would get me my refund. It’s been six months now and I haven’t been refunded.
Every time I ask they give me the same response saying it’s been escalated to the concerns team. I started emailing daily and now I’ve finally got a different response, that it’s Wizz airline (who I was flying with) that haven’t responded to their refund request (funny how now I’m being annoying they’ve blamed it on the airline)
but what can I do?? I have no rights to message the airline directly because I booked through a 3rd party and therefore the booking isn’t under my details. How can an airline ignore a refund request for 6 months? They told me at the airport I was entitled, the flight was cancelled and I was told to go home.

What can I do to get this money?

Firstly, try to find out whether or not the airline issued a refund (which would have gone to Gotogate, who actually sell the flights offered on Booking.com). If the refund was issued and the agent is not passing it on to you, your card should help.
Wizz do have form for this kind of thing: if they have not yet issued the refund you could seek help from the CAA.

Wizz are currently processing requests in 3-4 days (said as I've just had to do one), it was a bit quicker until the IT problems. The operational issues from 2 years ago have long passed.Voyager2002 said:Firstly, try to find out whether or not the airline issued a refund (which would have gone to Gotogate, who actually sell the flights offered on Booking.com). If it's been requested by the agent, it will have gone back to them.💙💛 💔0 -
Booking.com are probably being economical with the truth. They likely would have received credits for the cancelled booking. They then have to request those credits be converted to cash and then get that cash to you. The story of WizzAir completely ignoring them for six months is not credible. Agencies have a portal of their own: https://wizzair.com/en-gb/agency-loginDancergirl123 said:I booked my flight through booking.com. The flight was cancelled.
