Morning all
After a lovely weekend we have drizzle and much cooler temperatures today, it was nice while it lasted and the dogs prefer it a bit cooler for walking.
No people again today two of them have covid and one an upset tummy will have none tomorrow either so potentially only working Wednesday and Thursday this week depending on how they all are.
DD is on a late shift today so just OH and I here for dinner I will finally do the prawn pasta thing, must get the prawns out of the freezer after this.
DD is off to the wedding venue on Wednesday to help set up and then the wedding is on Thursday dd is carrying the brides baby down the aisle as well as flowers so she will have her hands full ! The baby will be passed to the grooms mother during the ceremony as he is quite a chunky little thing and could not be held for that amount of time.
Have good days all and take care xx

Hello all, it's raining already, that drizzly stuff. Another here who had a bad night's sleep as I was coughing.
Yesterday while looking for something for tea we emptied the chest freezer and made a list of it's contents then put most of it back in. Only some trout fillets and a gammon joint wasn't returned, I enjoyed the fish with a jacket potato and green beans for tea while Mr Fix It had a crispy chicken steak and a jacket potato. The gammon will go in the slow cooker for our tea today. As the chest freezer is only half full now I'm going to empty the contents of the freezer part of the fridge/freezer into it and defrost the small freezer. I'll then sort the small freezer stuff before I put them back and make another list. Can you tell I love lists !
Snoozer hope Esben picks up soon, poor little mite.
Take care, hugs to all

Hello everyone
Late one from me today, but it hasn't been the best of days. Late last night DD messaged to say they were in hospital and little one had suspected meningitis! She had been fine till about 6pm then wouldn't eat her tea, she'd been lying on the sofa and had started screaming to put the tv off and close the blinds, her neck was sore and she had a high temperature. DD rang 999 to be told it would be a few hours and to take her to hospital herself, which she did.
She saw a doctor very quickly and was started on an antibiotic drip straight away. She was to have a lumbar puncture today but they couldn't do it because she wouldn't or couldn't open her eyes so they could check her pupils. The doctor had said they're treating her for bacterial meningitis, though it could be viral. Hopefully they've now been transferred to RVI in Newcastle, where her consultant is.
I've just felt so sick and worried all day, with so many things going through my mind, that I don't want to think about. Hopefully I'll get to see them tomorrow, if she's allowed visitors. DD says she's just lay very still all day and hardly spoken.
Going to go and run myself a bath, see if it eases my headache x

What a worry for you and your DD - I too hope that your little one responds well to the treatment. It's heartening that she was seen so quickly. xx
