Couldn't see a thing, could just hear the band!Walked to Houses of Parliament afterwards with lots of stops but my knees held out OK but my big toes are protesting alot this morning! A take it easy day today methinksHoe everyone has a good day x10

The iffy weather yesterday held on long enough for me to get a small washing load out on the line and almost dry before the rain appeared. I even washed (by hand) all the pegs which had been left out all winter. As for today, still no idea! I hope that everyone is doing well.11

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's an iffy start here too. We are forecast drizzle in among. Grr I knew I should have changed the bed yesterday, the bed linen would have dried nicely outside. Now I suppose it will be festooning the upstairs.
I seem to have accumulated lots of silly jobs to do today, thanks to quite a slothful weekend. All that got done yesterday was the top speed shopping trip with DS, then a feet up afternoon reading.
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) as always for our poorlies, recovering relatives or just fed up. Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Good morning, thanks for the start Gers.
It's damp and drizzly here, might brighten up I supppse..
I'm visiting a house bound friend this afternoon, she just lives 5 minutes away, so an easy walk.
Also I need to go out this morning for some more eyedrops, I have dry eyes, so use them every day.
Sounds as if you had a lovely day yesterday Chrisca.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning everyone
A slow start here after a couple of busy days followed by a fairly rubbish night’s sleep.
Should hear from DF and he should be discharged today - he was a bit disheartened yesterday as he hadn’t made as much progress as he expected (the nursing staff are all happy). He needs to be able to tackle steps and stairs with the physio before he’s allowed home - we have a downstairs toilet so he’ll only need to do them once a day.Hopefully I can tackle some more of my jobs as well, I like to be able to tick at least once thing off the list each day.
take care all

Morning All
Back to rain today after a fairly decent day yesterday but the sunshine has gone missing. The grass was cut yesterday, glad I did it as I'm not sure when we are due another dry day.
I made three big jars of courgette chutney yesterday and 9 jars of rhubarb & ginger jam, felt quite productive for a change.
I'm going out with DD and the little one to meet friends at the Kelpies later but will visit the allotment first, I'm sure there will be another load of courgettes to pick!
Hope your DF gets home today Allie.
Enjoy your catch up with your friend Scarlet.
Sounds like you had a good day Chrisca, feet up today!
Pleased you enjoyed your party Nanny.
Right, I'm off to give the bathrooms a clean and then throw myself in the shower. Have a good day, take care. XX11 -
Hi everyone,
All is quiet, Steve is getting ready to go over to C and C's to connect the internet to the stables (cabling is there, it just needs connecting at both ends).
I have a dentist appointment or I'd have gone too but I need to get the train to the next town, it's much cheaper than the bus.
Laura said that Esben had gone downhill again by the time they got to Glasgow, she had to put him in the buggy and carry Esther. I think they were going to postpone travelling to Barra till tomorrow.
Have a good day.

Morning all, yes been raining here too, naturally as its the 1st day of school hols! Although I think it may have stopped now. I don't have any plans for today either. The farmers market was quite busy yesterday, they started to use a field for overflow parking just after we got there. We got some fruit and veg, and a couple of scones for DH but he was disappointed as there is usually a stall selling samosas and bhajis etc. but she wasn't there. Shame as we usually stock up , they are really nice.Next door are back from holiday in Scotland, and really enjoyed it. He was chopping down overgrown bushes etc. at the front, looks so much better now - just need to sort the conifers at the back now, he said he'd get on to their landlady to see if she'd cough some money up to do their section. Having said that we haven't heard back from the tree company with a price yetI think I may have to put another loaf in the bm today, yesterday's was a small one to see if it met with DH approval, it was a 50/50 white and wholemeal. I've started to use fresh yeast from a French company selling on Am*z**. It came in smallish blocks that I froze, just take one out as I need it!Hope your DF gets discharged today AA.Have a good day allI have a T order coming shortly so need to go and get some bags sorted:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Rosy, that's interesting about the yeast. Do you get any drop off after it's frozen? snoozer, hope the dentist goes painlessly/ camelot, well done you! Gers, it might brighten! It's raining or has been here too..Allie, that feeling of I'm indestrucible never goes away does it? Hope he's out today...Izzy, homework? As in work in the home or homework from learning something? Chris, I went there a few years ago. I was surprised by all the staining on the silks and the musty damp smell in places..I had never thought of it like a giant home that needed constant work, just a big static posh place. TA, hope the little jobs go well...Morning..Asbestos removal men coming this morning so it's starting. I may go to Wales this week, it'll be the last chance before September and we have to work out when we're going, how were going to Italy this time. OH is coming too [ barring any accidents/misforutnes/cat sitter disavailability] so that has to be factored in too. Have a good day folks though!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11
