I have sofa set, 2nd as 1st replaced due to frame, from scs, this one now also seating and arns dropped so low like sitting on bean bags, sold insurance in store saying it would cover it all, but insurance said they only cover mechanisms not cushions or seating. So now, it's been 1.5 years and scs saying I'm out of 12 month warranty. Surely a 4 grand sofa should last longer than this? What's my rights? I think I've been mis sold 700 insurance but also the sofa should last longer than 1.5 years.

You'd need to check the terms of the insurance policy to ascertain exactly what it does and doesn't cover before asserting mis-selling of that.
In terms of the quality issue itself, if SCS aren't interested and you wish to pursue them under the CRA, then chances are you'll need to get the sofa set examined by an independent expert to provide a report supporting your argument that it's not as durable as should be expected.
If you paid by credit card then this may also give you the option of action via your card company under section 75?1
