Car bodywork repair
I've scraped the wheel arch on my Mini. Some wide and deepish scratches, although no dents. Any advice on how much I could expect to pay to have the scratches repaired at a body shop?
Alternatively, is this something I could feasibly attempt to repair myself with primer, touch-up paint and clearcoat?

My OH scraped his plastic bumper on a BMW recently. £495 to fill and respray at an out of town bodyshop.

Can you feel the scratches with a fingernail, going across them?
If so, it's a bit more involved, but not the end of the world. It's just plastic.0 -
You might be able to buy a wheel arch trim in your cars colour from BMW/Mini. Worth checking. I was able to do this with my Honda Civic.Mortgage free

My neighbour did similar on his car ,took it to the dealers bodyshop ,£800 plus to repair as they had to remove the front lower panel to paint it and was three coat paint finish ( well thats what they told him )0

An advantage of driving a 20 yr old car - that's not damage, it's character
WW2 fighters had swastikas on the fusilage for every "kill". My car has a dent/ding/scratch for every trip to Tesco!1 -
Look for a local SMART Repairer. (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology).
They shouldn't charge excessively for a single panel repair like this and they might be able to come to you and repair it in situ.
You'll make a mess yourself, it's not a small chip or scratch. It'll need flatting, filling and repainting as a whole panel.0
