Can anyone recommend a site for meal discounts for Newcastle and surrounding areas please?

Have you tried apps like"The Fork" or "OpenTable"? I often find restaurants put discounts on there.
We dined at a nice Indian restaurant in London recently (on a Friday evening), 50% off food. Bill including drinks was less than £60 for two. (Shared starter, two curries one naan, one rice, two desserts and a bottle of wine). I booked through The Fork for the offer.
