What could £120,000 make in 5 years?

Hi there everyone! I have £120,000 in spare cash. I would like to try and earn as much money from it in 5 years. My attitude to risk is "Medium". Any ideas? I have already cleared my Mortgage so this is indeed spare cash. Thanks...:A

Medium will mean different things to different people, but you could certainly consider investing in a variety of unit trusts and OEICs to get some decent growth over the next 5 years.

However, my top suggestion would be to see an independent financial adviser with that much money at stake!

Medium risk in its recognised form "could" double your money although that is unlikely given the current cycle. Probably closer to 50%-60% positive if things arent bad to nothing if things dont get well.
