Email contact regarding stolen nectar points

Hi,

I've just checked my Nectar points -  as I do every few days on their app. But instead of expecting to see almost £100 worth of Nectar points, I am left with 26p. It appears my points have been stolen, and used in Folkestone - and I live in Carlisle! One is for a place called Hythe, and another called West Park Far, both used on the 18th July. Nobody else uses my card. I looked at reporting this to Nectar, but they are closed today! Any advice or contact email would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure why there is still no security on Nectar. I had my points stolen some years ago and used on eBay, my account wasn't even linked to eBay. I raised a complaint and I did get the points back after a couple of weeks.

Nectar know that their system isn’t as good as it could be so they do tend to refund point quite quickly. You probably need to ask for a new card a new number as well.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I found the same issue last week, 22,500 points used in three transactions at Sainsburys stores in Hampshire that I've never been to (one of which is in a place I'd never even heard of). I contacted Nectar on the live chat on their website, and after doing a few checks they confirmed that they'd issue me a new card with the stolen points reinstated. I got a text later the same day giving me the new card number but the physical card hasn't arrived yet (they said 10 days) so I'm not 100% sure I'll get the points back, but as I've printed the live chat I'm pretty sure the points will eventually reappear.
I noticed in each case that a small purchase had been made first, presumably to check how many points were still available on the card.

Same just happened to me, 18,000 points redeemed in Croydon yesterday, never been there. Going through the process of getting new card and points back.

Just to update my previous post, I received 2 new cards and my stolen points were re-credited on 31st July, so about 2 weeks after I contacted Nectar. I had been keeping them in case Sainsbury's ever reintroduced double points redemption for everyone (I missed out when they offered it to just some people) but I've now decided that I'll just use them to buy my shopping until I only have a low balance, currently down to 1792 points.
  • I had my Nectar points stolen in July but the thief took more points even after I’d cancelled my card, leaving me with a negative balance. The‘Helpline’ has refused to refund all my points, deducting the minus points from my original balance. I’ll use the ones they have refunded and then cancel my account.
  • Thanks all. To date, I have received a new card and number. But I am currently still waiting for the points. I have been told the points will be credited to my account, but to date, they have not been. After completing the online chat 7 times (taking screen prints of each chat), and 63 days of being fobbed off, I  escalated my complaint to Resolver at the end of September. Again, I have had to chase and am now reaching a wall of silence. I think I am now resigned to the fact that I will not being reimbursed with the points (despite being told I would get the points back). Very frustrating, but it has taught me a lesson to not use Nectar or shop anywhere promoting Nectar ever again.

one other option is to not amass points but to spend them as soon as you are able...
