Hello.
I've got a Samsung Galaxy M13 had just over a year and was wondering what is the best routine to charge battery. I always run the battery down to single digit figures on my previous mobile.
But l read somewhere you should only let the battery fall to 20% and charge up to 80/85%.
Is this correct?

Technically for the longest battery longevity yes discharging and charging as you have read is ideal but in the real world I just charge my phone to full when I feel it is too low. I have had phones work just fine for many years doing what I do.

The short answer is don’t let the battery get too low because that causes heating which diminishes the life. With a modern battery just put it on charge when it’s convenient for you. It’s better to have short top up charges.1

My S24 and the S21 before it didn't get charged above 80% except on rare occasions when I would need a longer battery life (e.g on a long trip when SatNav was in use for long periods).
I've just got into the routine and don't find myself running out of power at the end of the days usage. Your usage may vary with different results.

If the M13 has it, you can find it in Settings - Battery- Battery Protection -Take your pick of the setting you want and turn it on.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
