Final BG bill and direct debit
When I left my old supplier for BG, they told me to cancel the direct debit, my bill would be calculated and credit refunded to me. This happened within 6 weeks and went as expected.
With the issues I have had with BG recently, I am not confident enough with their efficiency to cancel my DD with them, even though £350 in credit, last bill was only 8 days ago and my calculations show a bill of less than £50. I am due a further monthly payment in 5 days to increase my credit even more, which I don't really want to do. My worry is that as they report to CRA's, they have the potential to decimate my credit worthiness with missed payments being applied.
What would be normal procedure with this shower now please?

This was my thinking thank you, especially being so much in credit. As I say, my worry is they would report it as a missed payment, especially if I reclaimed it once paid.0
