Parking Eye & Starbucks

Hi all

I have just received a letter from Parking Eye saying that "29 days have passed from the date notice of the Parking Charge" on 10th June re: Starbucks.

The amount payable is £100 and they state they now have the right to recover any unpaid charges from the registered keeper.....

I visited Starbucks with my friends on this day and did indeed park but have done this MANY times before. As far as I'm aware you don't need to pay for parking there so I'm very confused. Also this is the first letter I have received.

Can I use the "TEMPLATE ''ONE SIZE FITS ALL'' FIRST APPEAL THAT DOESN'T SAY WHO WAS DRIVING" as I didn't get the original PCN?

Not sure what the best course of action is and already dealing with another court claim from CEL so this is the last thing I need!!!

Plan A in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, that is always the best option, for everyone, Always !

Sounds like they think that they put a windscreen PCN on the vehicle

Yes use the template appeal as keeper, but plan A should be tried FIRST !

When you do, have a careful look around the car park and make a not of any signs. If possible take a photo of the entrance sign to the car park and any signs in the car park that mentions terms for parking.

If your first letter was their 'liability notice' then you have missed TWO ParkingEye letters...

Are you sure your V5C address is up to date? How can a PCN and a reminder (a fortnight later) not have arrived in June? I suspect your logbook has your old address on it. PCN & reminder went to your old address?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
