Morning all
Its already warm here with temps set to rise to around 28 deg later I won’t moan because we have waited so long for summer to arrive.
I’ve had a message from my other Tuesday client to say she has also got covid, I am just hoping I dont get it having not long had it, the first client to get it is a nightmare for not telling people when he feels poorly so I hope this will make him be more open.
We did not have the prawn thing for dinner last night as OH went to visit his mum and dd was working so we may have it tonight instead. His mum is doing well though and they hope to let her home by the middle to end of next week.
AA hope the op goes well today xx
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Morning all, it's 20 degrees here but we're back to rain tomorrow too. I have done a load in the wm and Mr Fix It has put it out on the whirly. Dad's terrorist has signed him off as he's not going to get any better than he is, he's fine with that but miffed because he's been told he can't go out without supervision and he knows neither we or DD will run him around at his beck and call.
We're going to Dad's this morning to do a few things but I'm going to put my foot down as to how much will get done, I am not his cleaner, been there did that, but now I can't even do my own properly and neither is Mr Fix It his "on call" handyman. We'll help as much as we can but we're also elderly and not up to par ourselves. Sorry I'm ranting before I even get there !
Hope everyone has a good day. Hugs to all, extra ones to AA for the upcoming op today.
Take care all

@Taff - just wearing normal clothes but the little monsters get everywhere, even through material.@Nan - most local authorities have a 'care and repair' service geared towards the elderly who need help with small maintenance work. Material has to be paid for but labour is usually free, it's worth exploring. My late DM used the service to change light bulbs, install a rail and replace door handles. Does your Dad get Attendance Allowance yet?@AA - I hope that all goes well with your OH's operation and really hope that it's not affected by the global outage.@Snoozer - I think that the Glasgow to Barra flight turned back today, I was tracking planes online and it seemed to head down to Campbeltown and then back to Glasgow in a large figure of eight before landing. Fingers crossed that the problem is resolved soon. PS - it's taken off again.I've not done much yet apart from load the DW, run it and unload it again.8

Gers Thank you for your thoughts. Dad's already had care and repair for a few things but the ones he'd have to pay for he's refused, even though he would benefit. He doesn't qualify for AA as he already gets DLA but won't spend a penny if he can help it 😠 I've told him to spend it to get the best out of the rest of his days but sadly it's fallen on deaf ears 🤷♀️🧏♂️
While I was there I followed my nose to track down a smell in the kitchen, my sense of smell is not the greatest so it must have been pungent and I found some milk that had gone off in his fridge. Apparently he was drinking it yesterday and he wanted to keep it to finish it off, cottage cheese anyone 🤢 I also threw out a bottle of curry sauce that he tried to give us, BBD of 2016 and had been opened. I dread to find out what other relics lie in those kitchen cupboards ! I've come home and done a towel wash and they should dry out in the sunshine.
I'll probably be MIA tomorrow as I have an early morning hairdressers appointment and I shall go with DD while DGS will stay with Mr Fix It. Then the plan is to go to DD's later for a takeaway curry night, it will be good to have a catch up with everyone before they fly off on holiday on Monday.
nan xx

Will he let you have LPA? That would help a lot. Even my very stubborn DDad let me have that for him, eventually. The day has turned out much better than predicted. I'm back home from my final stint in town and was delighted to find the horsebox coffee 'shop' still open so nabbed a chunk of lemon drizzle cake. I added some sour cream over the top and wolfed it down. Fruit and dairy can only be good.

Gers, They're not flying to Barra this time, L and the kids are flying to Glasgow then B is picking them up for the drive and ferry to Barra. They are flying back all the way though so Laura will have to wrangle the change of planes in Glasgow alone. She's done it before though.
Nanny, I'm another who had a super stubborn dad who wouldn't pay for anything. He always said they could manage even though my poor mum was on her knees with heart failure and other problems.4
