Accept commitments in person interview booked when I’m working?

Is it reasonable to request we both attend at the same time to sign our commitments?

we have a special needs child plus it would be more efficient for the JC to do one double appointment than two at different times?

I have asked but they just say I have to tell why I can’t attend

I have had appointments changed before simply by putting a note in my journal explaining why I wanted the change

Of course your first 'claimamt commitment' appointnent is a bit of a special one, but they should be able to change it if your reason makes sense.

(There again sometimes they don't know how to override the computer made appointment themselves, so will just say that it can't be done rather than admit they don't know how to do it).

It’s unlikely they would do the appointments together - they’d be two separate discussions based on your individual conditionality etc. so you’d be better asking for them on same day / similar times.
