A professional person who was working on my behalf 15 years ago, didn't do as I asked which left me heavily in debt.
I ended up in court, he was pointed out by the judge as doing wrong.
Because this left me in debt at the time, I couldn't afford to sue him, I can't sue him now because it's too late!
I now want to name and shame him by way of a local flyer, pointing out facts that I can backup.
This means that I believe he can sue me for defamation (if he dare).
If he does take me to court, can I counter sue him for the wrongs he did to me?

What sort of "wrong" did they do?
You could have used Small Claims Court back then.
The case now - if they did sue - if you don't lie whats the problem?
Really need more info to give any advice.
Have you spoken to a solicitor about this?

You’re aware that if it did go to court and you lost, you could be liable for all his costs Which would land you straight back in debt again.
Or you could just have a visit from the local police on harassment grounds.Seems to me you’ve hung onto this grudge for far too long however justified your initial complaints may have been, it’s probably better just to try and move on.Is this the same solicitor or have you got gripes with more than one because this one was 10 years ago so different times scales? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
I think you should move on.5

I think you'd have more problems with the police then you would the courts.Espeically if it's concering the solicitor you mention in your other thread.

"Mr X wronged me 15 years ago"
Do you honestly think any of his current/potential clients would actually care?? Doing something like this says more about you (and not in a good light!), than it does about himIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

Are you intending to stand outside the persons offices and hand them out to people going in/walking by? When was the last time you actually accepted a flier off a random person in the street? Would you actually read such a thing and then think "Wow, I should take action based on this piece of paper some random stranger thrust into my hand".?
Or, if you're not going to hand them out in the street like a crazy person, where are you going to put the fliers? Will the people who own the buildings let you? "Excuse me, would you let me leave a stack of these fliers making possibly defamatory statements in your lobby - I can back up all the statements, honest". Even if they believe you back back it up - what's in it for them? Why would they risk annoying some other local business person for your sake?
Also, if you walk into a building and you see a stack of bits of paper on a desk/table/whatever - do you actually pick them up and read them? Do you believe what you're read?
How exactly do you envisage this plan of your unfolding?
What are the benefits of this *to you*? What will it cost? (printing isn't free - how much time and effort on your part will it take?)j. Even if everything, somehow, goes to plan - what will you have gained? There are lots of books out there about the hollowness of revenge - I suggest you go read some. They generally don't end well.
