Google Maps saved locations not syncing with Apple Carplay

Hi,
On my iphone, I have saved 22 locations in Google maps under 'favourites' folder. The issue is when i use Apple Carplay in my car using the same iphone, in carplay google maps, not all saved locations appear in carplay despite carplay 'favourites' folder also stating that i have 22 saved locations. Clicking 'favourites' folder on carplay only shows around 10 saved locations. Google support are saying that its an Apple related issue but Apple support are saying its Google related. Even creating a custom folder to save locations gives me same issue.

Any idea why all saved locations aren't also showing in carplay?
