Hi all
Parked in the car park of a local Taco Bell near me and waited for my friend to go around the drive thru then we both left together.. ive just recieved a parking ticket for this (non customer parked in customer car park) even though I was there for a matter of minutes waiting for my friend who went around the drive thru. Have I got grounds for appeal? Is it likely to get accepted

People may have grounds for an appeal, although not based on the story so far
Parking companies don't like accepting appeals because there is no money in it for them, so UKPS will definitely reject any appeal, no matter what's it says. So no , it won't be accepted0 -
Not sure what the signs state at this location. Like @Gr1pr stated parking firms tend to automatically reject appeals irrespective of what reasons you give them. You have nothing to lose by appealing so use the standard template in the Newbies section (if BPA members). Don't state who was driving. if you want to explain that you were patrons of Taco Bell, you can always attempt to get a bank statement from your friend showing the transaction, state that you entered with 2 vehicles (give your friends VRN) and state that he was buying food for both of you ( I am assuming their signs don't specifically state that each driver needs to buy something individually!).
However don't be surprised if your appeal to falls on deaf ears.1 -
UKPS are IPC AOS members, so definitely expect a rejection, you are better off saying nothing about the incident or about who was driving to the parking company
Plan A is the best option here1 -
It's just a load of old bluster from scammers who make up the rules as they go along, of course you have grounds, just like the leaving site scam they won't carry this through. As above if you gave your friend the money for the food you were a customer.2
