cant balance transfer my Argos Card

Does your new card allow "money transfers" i.e. where they will pay money into a current account.
If they do then you can use that money to pay off the Argos account.
You'll probably have to pay a fee, but if that means moving your debt from a 20%APR+ Argos card onto a 0% card, it will probably work out cheaper in the long run.

My Halifax CC does offer MT and BT - their offer on the site though does just talk about BT
I suspect the Argos one is either a credit account or a store card so not really straightforward if it doesn't have the 16 digit numberSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

There does seem to be less Money Transfer credit cards available for brand new customers nowadays.
Doing a simple search throws up mainly Virgin, Tesco Bank and MBNA as mainstream brands offering Money Transfer cards to new customers.
See this MSE article:
https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/money-transfers/
The ones that do offer Money Transfer cards to new customers seem to restrict the offer period to 12 months max with a circa 4% charge.
Like Nasqueron above, I also suspect the OP’s problem maybe due to the fact Argos cards do not appear to conform to the standard 16 digit credit card system (or 15 for Amex). Thus, a Balance Transfer may not be accepted as it is not a standard credit card.

The Argos card is not a credit card, it is a store card, as such no credit card provider will offer a balance transfer from it. As other have said you could use a money transfer, or a loan.0

As it is not a credit card, in the true sense. Even Argos make no mention of "Credit Card" It is either Argos Card or Credit plan.
https://help.argos.co.uk/help/argos-card.
So as per previous posters your only option is a money transfer card.
