Unscented honeysuckle...
I have a large, established evergreen honeysuckle growing in a big ceramic pot close to my French doors & garden table.
While it looks lovely and gets covered in flowers, it is unscented so I'm considering cutting it right down this autumn, taking it out and starting again with a scented one.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a replacement? It is a sheltered spot in the corner of house & fence facing north, so doesn't get huge amounts of sun.

I can't offer any recommendations other than to see what's on offer locally and do a search on it.Some of the new varieties are designed to look better rather than the scent, a bit like roses. It is possible that it's the lack of sun that is preventing any perfume. The only real way to find out is to try again with one you know is scented.I'd suggest putting the potted one as it is or when removed, in a sunny spot to see if that's the case before you splash out on a new one.I found this on a quick searchannoying pop ups but easily got rid of.And you've reminded me that I was going to get a winter honeysuckle.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I've a japonica lonicera on a north wall that does well. Mainly flowers near the top of the wall, mind you.

We have Rhubarb and Custard which smells nice but I don't know how well it would work in your proposed location.

Just to update that it does get sun in the late afternoon - I am generally working and not in the back garden when it's sunny, but noticed on Friday!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
