Duplicate emission claim

Long story short, by my own fault i ended signing up to two separate solicitors for emission claims. Both cases have been presented at court so i need to cancel wirh one of the company but they are unwilling to tell me what would be the cost of doing so untill i actually instruct one of them to cancel. Anyone knows what the cost could potentially be? I need to make a decision on canceling with one of them soo . Separately to that, second firn run de-duplication process on me and i haven't flagged as already signed up which was strange.

What paperwork/email do you have from each? They should tell you what you might be liable for in these circumstances.Taake said:Long story short, by my own fault i ended signing up to two separate solicitors for emission claims. Well it depends on the T&Cs of the two solicitor firms you've signed up with. It might be easier for you to read them than for anyone here to do so...
It's likely that when you signed with each firm that you agreed to follow the claim throught to its conclusion. If you withdraw before it's concluded you will likely have to pay your share of the firm's costs and expenses up to that point*.
Nobody here can tell you what that amount will be. It might be "not very much" or it might be "quite a lot" depending on your current financial position.
*Assuming the firms are "no win, no fee" they make their money by taking a share of the payout in winning cases. If you withdraw from the case you are taking revenue away from them which they will want to recover from you.0 -
i almost signed up with these firms.. but the long and short of it is... they will make more out of it than you will.. so never really worth the effort ( ive had too many cars to remember them all anyway. )

It is Keller Lenker (which are quite slow to response) and Bond Turner (they are quite helpful). Paperwork is wooly, states i will have to pay them the costs incured and list the fees for different tiers od their lawyers and that's pretty much that.Aylesbury_Duck said:

These are both group action schemes which started proceedings nearly a year ago.I think this is far beyond a consumer rights forum, you’ll need to speak to a solicitor for advice. Perhaps try Citizens Advice.0

I think there is nothing really that can be done. I need to choose one and just face the consequences of my stupidity and poor memory.PHK said:These are both group action schemes which started proceedings nearly a year ago.I think this is far beyond a consumer rights forum, you’ll need to speak to a solicitor for advice.
