    Hi all,

We've had the information (pasted below) in an email from the court. There was an letter attached saying the same more officially. No extension for paying the hearing fee was applied for by CEL!   :)

Safe to assume CEL will no longer bother us please?

    Thanks

The Court can confirm that the Claimant has not paid the hearing fee, therefore the claim has been struck out and the hearing on 12 January 2026 has been vacated.

    Great news

Yes, I suppose so but I'd rather have something from CEL saying they aren't continuing as the PCN is still on their payment system owing £135...

Thanks 🙂 I'm still hoping for something from CEL themselves, saying they've discontinued the claim.  Our original court date is tomorrow but not now..

The PCN is still saying it's needs paying on their system. I looked out of curiosity really.

What’s in it for them to do that? Everything they do is for them, no one else!  You’re not dealing with M&S or John Lewis here!

Great! But have they told the court?

Your court case remains live until they formally discontinue.
