I use Cheeky Panda, best toilet roll I have ever tried (tried alot). Not dusty like Andrex. Strong and nice smooth texture. Good size roll. Doesn't disintegrate (I use 3 sheets together usually, for all toilet roll brands used). Buying the smaller pack of 9 rolls works out cheaper than the larger packs. Around 50p a roll if buy on Amazon subscribe and save.0

My grandparents told me they used to tear strips of newspaper up to use as toilet paper. You could always pick yourself up a free copy of the Metro or Evening Standard?1

I find most toilet roll bog standard.5

I prefer Nicky Elite it’s good value, biodegradable and as it doesn’t fall to bits. I’ve used it for yearsI love MSE, Thank you to all who share their journey and knowledge to reach their goals and live a good life on a small income.
2025 will be a year of necessary challenges and changes, and closing some doors permanently that don’t serve me or are not in my best interest.1 -
We definitely like Costco own brand best. It doesn’t fall apart and three sheets are enough. Even better we have a friend with membership so we just text and he delivers.1

Have to say not had disintegration issues with WGAC paper.
Most packages do state how many sheets per roll there are so doing a price per sheet isn't hard to work out. Its going to be a personal decision on how many sheets you use per visit, historically I'd agree that you "needed" more with some bad paper but in recent years I've found its rarely true but then have never used one sheet at a time.1 -
Saxon toilet roll is decent quality and even the premium version which is thicker and embossed you can still get 24 rolls for under £5. But the premium is scented but I've found most are these days 😔
I used to like Asda's Shades, but we don't have a decent Asda near us and my partner doesn't like the 'tear factor' 🤣 plus it has recently increased in price massively.
Presto on Amazon you can get in bulk, decent price for the amount. Sadly I found quality hit and miss. If you subscribe you get a even more money off them.
I wanted to go more eco friendly but Cheeky Panda and WGAC seems pricey and not always heard good things. Sadly I can't afford to go for smaller independent businesses.
Some countries/cultures don't use toilet roll, they either use reusable cloths or just water and their hands, but they make sure one hand is for eating and they will only use the other hand for their bathroom habits - even though you wash your hands obviously.
Sadly toilet roll is essential from my upbringing, I'm not sure I could go paperless. I understand it is a choice and luxury for some but I'd class it as essential.
One of my neighbours gets a bulk order delivered from either Goupon or Wowcher - I can't remember which and shares it out between him and his families households every few weeks, works well for them.Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.0 -
I've just bought a bulk order from Bumboo and very pleased - rolls are much larger than Cheeky Panda ones so I think good value0

It's ANDREX for me every time. We buy in bulk when on special offer. Nothing compares to the quality......1
