Hi, can anyone tell me if when switching to first direct you need your other banks bank details or does it have to be debit card?
I want to switch from Barclays but I dont have a debit card. Thanks.

You need your account details (account number, sort code), and usually also your debit card details. However, most of the time there is also an option to say you don't have a debit card and proceed with the switch. Haven't switched to FD in ages so can't say for sure personally.
The switch can be done anytime up to 30 days after opening the account I believe though, so worst case you can open the FD account and separately request a debit card from Barclays, and then initiate the switch after it arrives.0
