@TA - that's such good news about your DF's OH, I really hope that some action can be taken to help him and her.@Chrisca - cleaning the oven sounds such an evil task!@Wicked - my GP gave me antihistamines and a nasal spray for nasal drip, though it hasn't helped a lot. Baby rhyme sounds so lovely.@Ruby - I'm sure that something nice can be found to do, though I'm not full of ideas.@Rosy - what a pain that is.@Izzy - another one oven cleaning, you're both putting me to shame.@Camelot - welcome back. You timed it just perfect for the best day of the year so far!@DP1 - how lovely that your little one is excited for school and it's good to hear that she enjoyed Butlins. I've never been though my late brother and dad went to Skegness many many moons ago.@Taff - I read that you are taking the circular saw to the freezer food
I'm still in reception of a business for two hours a day for this week only. Today I'm taking my Air Pods with me to listen to my audiobook as there wasn't much happening.
Well, I stripped the bed, got the washer switched on, went to drop off return parcel, onto the tip to empty out the garden waste, hung out the washing and cooked a lovely bacon roll (again) with the bacon from Cranstons and the ciabatta roll from the Rehged shop in Penrith.8 -
Afternoon all, sorry I haven't been on here for quite a while but RL took over and I couldn't think past my nose.
Dad came home 2 weeks ago but he's still dragging his left leg, dropping things from his left hand, his field of view is impaired and he has some confusion/ memory loss too. We've been dealing with OT's, PT's and the local Care and Repair team, all of which have been a great help. Dad's still having physio every week, much to his annoyance because he thinks he "doesn't need them". We've had to inform the DVLA to stop him driving because he thought he could just get back in his car 😲. He doesn't seem to realise how badly he's been affected and fights us every step of the way when all we want is to get him better 🙄. Consequently I've been suffering with the black dog sitting heavily on my chest with my stress levels through the roof and then lately an eye infection 🙁 The only things that have kept me sane is Mr Fix It and a jigsaw ! Sorry for the woe is me post.
I hope everyone and their families are well and I'm sorry I haven't kept up with the daily news.
Take care all, hugs to everyone.

Nanny - I hope things improve soon x
Gers - little one would say to you ( in her Northumbrian accent) 'What? I can't believe it - you've never been to Butlins? How not? How have you never been to Butlins? Granny you know what? Gers has never ever been to Butlins! Not ever in her whole life!'
That was her reaction when her teacher admitted she'd never been!7 -
Nanny, sorry to hear you ( and your Dad) are having a hard time of it at the moment, but pleased the care team are really helping.
