Good morning, dull here but dry.
Glad you enjoyed your trip to Northumberland Gers.
Yesterday was an ok day, had hair done, what a relief, and did a bit of shopping.
Today I'm going to the Metrocentre, I want to go the the Lak*land shop there, and the large M&S.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning allThanks for starting us off ScarletEnjoyed the film yesterday, very funny. As my dear old nan would have said it gave my face a charabanc ride!Bought a couple of things while at the shopping centre where the cinema is (Bluewater if you know the area)Well, no footie or tennis to watch anymore so the excitement will be to give the oven a clean, can't wait. Looks like being a miserable day today too so staying indoors is the best bet.Hope everyone has a good day10

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Have a happy shopping day! After a lovely day for most of yesterday the rain is back today. Just a bit of mizzle at the moment but they are forecasting thunderstorms later.
As yesterday was so nice it spurred me on to get all chores done early doors, with the intention of enjoying the sunshine and reading out back. It felt lovely feeling the warm sunshine again but sadly the clouds took over. mid afternoon. Isn't it the usual case these days.
No lunch meet with DF today as she has finally managed to get her DH to see a doctor about his nasty mood swings and aggression. And, to press, he has agreed she can go in with him and tell it as it is. I hope this time something will get done. She is in no mood to be fobbed off with tablets this time.
As I am now confined to barracks I'm sure I can find something to occupy my time. If not there is always reading! Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Welcome back GERS - we were cross posting yesterday - you sound to have had a good w/e. Take care all xx

Good morning everyone, thanks for starting us off Scarlet. I miss being able to go to that huge M&S. At the weekend I went to the Hexham store only to find it permanently closed.Yesterday the weather was glorious and today promises the same. Mind you, the forecast for the rest of week is horrendous so I should make the most of it. I'll change the bedding and hope to get it dried outside. I had decided to phone the GP about my MRI then remembered that yesterday was a local holiday (Fair Monday) so the surgery was closed, which means that they'll be really busy today. Given that I'm busy for two hours each afternoon when the GP will probably phone back I'll leave it until next week now.I have to drop a return off at the delivery office and take a bag of garden rubbish to the tip before my volunteering stint so off I go. I hope that the day isn't too awful for everyone.10

Morning all. Bit dull here today.
Went into MK on the bus yesterday and managed to get everything except the one thing I'd gone for, which was a specific pair of slippers in M&S. They had them in every size and colour except the ones I wanted. Did pick up 4 Library books though, so they should keep me going for a while.
When I finally got through to the doctor yesterday I was surprisingly given a 4pm appointment, although it was with the nurse. It turns out I have post nasal drip, following on from my earlier sinus infection, and this is what is affecting my chest and giving me such a dreadful cough. I could try and hurry it away with steam inhalations and saline washes but it will take a few weeks by the sound of it.
Anyway, I'm off to do childcare for the 9 month old today. We'll go to the baby rhyme session at the Library this morning, which wore him out last time!
Hope everyone's day goes well.11 -
Morning all
Miserable day here with non stop rain for most of it apparently, yesterday evening the rain was torrential and we have had some floods locally.
Two people coming today Rob is still poorly, but I have no idea what we will do it’s so much harder when it’s raining there is nothing on at the cinema at a good time for us, let’s hope they have some ideas between them.
Dinner tonight will be spag bol got the mince out last night so it’s defrosted already, dd is off today so she may cook it. I have put a wash on this morning but that will have to be hung indoors, I am so fed up with this rain !Yesterday I went and collected MIL’s things from the hospital and bought then home and washed and dried them all so they are all ready for OH to take back when he goes to see her, I did order her two new pairs of pyjamas as most of hers were very threadbare with one pair only fit for rags, I have left them in her bag though as it’s her choice to throw them or not.
Have good days all and take care xx7 -

Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning All
I'm back from my travels, it was lovely to be in my own bed. Slept surprisingly well after 17 hours of flying, a bus and a lift home from Glasgow, DD and the little one picked me up.
Lots of washing to do but it's raining so will just do one load and put it on the pulley. The weather was lovely yesterday when I got home so I cut the grass before falling into bed.
I'll try to catch up with your news so will wish you all well, hope everyone is ok.
Take care. XX

Morning all, dull & grey, rained most of the night. I picked up DGS yesterday, his friends were all a bit subdued as 2 of their classmates had a clash of heads in PE just before home time and there was a lot of blood, leading to a hospital visit
so hope they are ok.
Apparently the work van, currently on DS2s drive has a flat tire so DH has gone over there.Glad you enjoyed your travels Camelot.Shopping being delivered shortly, the fridge is looking a bit bare.No pick ups for me today. Glad DGD & her mum had a lovely hol dp1.Right better go & clear the worktop ready for the shopping. Have a good day all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10 -
Morning everyone
Pleased to hear you enjoyed your trip Camelot
It's very misty here this morning but hopefully the sun will come out at some point though we are forecast thunderstorms later.
DD and little one got home late yesterday afternoon, little one is excited to go back to school today especially as it's pyjama day! She has an appointment with her paediatrician this afternoon.
I expect they will collect little kitten later - my cat is going to miss her, they've been cuddling up together on the radiator bed.
I have a few jobs to do then I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa before catching the bus down to work.
Hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
Morning...dull but not raining yet so bonus...The builder is going to let me know when the asbestos man can come and do the garage roof, and they are coming on the 29th to start, whether that's digging or what, don't know...You know how you speak to people and then totally forget what you were going to ask? That...OH will probably see him in the club anyway though..This means I can probably got to Wales next week hopefully..Again no plans for today, maybe get the circular saw out to chop up wood tomorrow [ tip run on Thursday], excavate something from the little freezer for food and start sorting out some of OHs pension paperwork. He never looks at it and the pile just gets bigger...Ruby, she'll probably be really pleased you got her new pjs, fingers crossed for her. camelot, welcome back, pics or it didn't happen!
Chris, I have never heard that saying before but it did make me laugh out loud
TA, hope your friend can get some treatment for him. WL, sounds horrendous, get well soon! Gers, what are you volunteering at? I may have forgotten...Izzy, also sounds horrendous, but enjoy the sparkliness when finished! Rosy, an accident or an on purpose? dp1, you might end up keeping the kitten
Take care all, hugs to the poorlies...
