First Direct HSBC deposit??

Hello.
Can you deposit cash at a HSBC branch for a First Direct  account?

    Yes you can, but you'll need a full branch with a counter as I understand that the paying-in machines no longer accept First Direct debit cards since they changed them to MasterCard. 

    You can also pay cash in at post offices.

    I deposited cash into FD at a Post Office, but I think there are limits on the amount you can deposit. Depends on the size of the Post Office branch and the amount of cash they are authorised to handle. 
    I managed to deposit £500 at my local PO branch, and that was at the retail till and not the PO counter.

    You can pay in up to £3,000 per day and a total of £20,000 each year at the Post Office®. To deposit more than this you need to visit a Full Service Branch or Cash Service Branch at HSBC.
