Hire costs double.

Hi all, I currently have a no fault car claim in progress, my situation is this. the company appointed supply the car hire is twice the cost of ant other hire company in this area? I have asked the company why, however they don't seem to have much interest, being the cynic I am I can only assume something is wrong, why would you pay double for an identical product or service? Has anyone out there seen the same?

Sounds like you are in credit hire, if you read the agreement you signed it will explain it. 

Credit hire companies take the risk that they cannot recover the money and so to accept this risk they charge more than your average company. At times when costs have gotten silly they will require you to provide bank and credit card statements to prove you couldn't have afforded an open ended hire at 1 day rates without their support. 

Ultimately as long as you follow their instructions etc you aren't liable for the cost.
