Do I need to declare accident with a my second car from a different policy when renewing my main?

Hi, I'm due to renew my car insurance policy. Last year, I had an accident when I was driving my second car, which has its policy in my name, so I had two separate car insurance policies covering two different cars. This year, I am only driving one car, and it is due to be renewed. Do I still need to declare the previous accident when quoting for insurance renewal?

Yep. They’re asking you what accidents you’ve had, not what accidents your car has had. They are assessing the risk around you as a driver.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Cars do not have accidents - they are an inanimate object the driver however does have accidents.
I was always puzzled when I ran a car hire operation the number of people who claimed years and years of perfect driving yet when asked how long they wanted to hire the response was when it came out of the bodyshop after being hit by another vehicle

Most dont accept that their behaviour can contribute to their chances of being in an accident and maintain they are perfectly blameless. Like the old joke of "I've never been involved in an accident but seen many in my rear view mirror"

My late uncle insisted on parking on the road outside his "new" house, which was right at the end of the double yellows on the way out of town.

After the third (probably drunk, they never stopped) car had hit the back corner in the night, his insurance renewal was so high that he got rid of the car.

He was nowhere near the car when the "accidents" happened, so he was adamant that he'd never had a single accident in 40 years of driving, but the last 2 were really down to his driving as it should have been obvious what was going to happen to the end car parked there if not before the first one, certainly after- even if the debris in the road wasn't a giveaway....

I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
