Can anyone tell me about how much I should be paying for 2 gas fires to be serviced please? Also, does the gas man give you anything to say they have been serviced? Thanks

Thanks£60-80 each, maybe a little less if they are both in the same property and done at the same time. You can ask for a Gase Safety Certificate (CP12), but there is often an extra charge for this. And unless this is a rental property, not a legal requirement.Had my gas boiler serviced last month. The engineer stamped my service record, and the company sent me an invoice along with a gas safety inspection report (not the same as a CP12). So three pieces of evidence to say the boiler had been serviced.
